Dr. Ahmed Essam

Associate professor

Ahmed Essam Hammad received his B. SC. Degrees (honors) in Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering from Cairo University in 2008. He received the MSC. And ph. D. degrees in engineering mathematics from Cairo University in 2013 and 2018, respectively. He has worked as an Associate professor and Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Mathematics and Physics, Faculty of  Engineering, Cairo University, since 2018. He joined Nile university, Giza, Egypt, in 2025, where he is now an Associate professor of Applied Mathematics. Dr. Ahmed has co-authored 15 research papers published in peer reviewed journals or presented at international conferences. His current research interests include engineering optimization, surrogate-based modelling and optimization, simulation driven optimization of computationally expensive engineering systems and optimal design EM-based systems and photonic crystal structures.
